International Education Fair

On November 30, American Corner Bitola, the U.S. Embassy in Macedonia and the University " St. Kliment Ohridski" Bitola organized for the first time in Bitola an International Education Fair. The main reason for creating this Fair was the celebration of the two year long formal cooperation between American Corner Bitola, the U.S. Embassy and the University " St. Kliment Ohridski" Bitola.

 The Fair welcomed around 180 young people from Bitola and the region, including high school and college students, young professionals, parents as well as high school and college teachers. In addition, this Fair gathered in one place all relevant institutions and organizations that actively work on youth involvement and engagement in international projects and programs such as: - U.S. Embassy in Macedonia - UKLO's Office for International cooperation - UKLO's Career Center KREDO - The French Alliance - The French Institute - YMCA Bitola - SFERA Bitola - IAESTE Bitola - AIESEC Prilep - Students for Liberty - Macedonia - CEEPUS - American Corner Bitola All the organizations shared their information about paid professional internships for students of Technical Sciences, cultural exchanges, European volunteering internship programs for college students, information on International language tests such as TOEFL iBT and DELF, opportunities for participating in international projects, opportunities for participating in camps, volunteering opportunities on international events, training opportunities for job hunting, career advising, scholarships for student exchange programs, scholarships for master and doctoral programs abroad, scholarships from companies for college students, information on EVS programs etc.

Pre-departure orientation session for Jana & Marijana!

On August 8th the AC Bitola/American Educational Center Bitola organized a pre-departure orientation session for Marijana Miloshevska and Jana Gagacheva who are about to depart from Bitola and start their studies in the United States! The session was held by YES Alumni Marija Torkova and Ivana Gruevska. Numerous tips and a box of tools were given to Jana and Marijana to equip them for the outstanding experienc e that awaits for them in the U.S.

IEW SCHOOL VISITS As a part of International Education Week 2018, EducationUSA adviser Biljana K. Tasetovikj visited several Macedonian schools and colleges and spoke with more than 130 students about the opportunities of the U.S. higher education system. On November 13, she visited schools in south-west Macedonia, high schools "Niko Nestor" - Struga, "Yahya Kemal College" - Struga, Gymnasium "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Ohrid and the University of Information Science and Technology "St. Paul the Apostle" - Ohrid.
