"How I got into MIT" w/Sanja Simonovic

On May 12th, the American Corner Bitola organized a presentation titled "How I got into MIT" with Ms. Sanja Simonovic, Senior at Yahya Kemal College and EducationUSA Center Bitola advisee. 
The presentation was mainly focused on Ms. Simonovic' experience in the process of applying to U.S. colleges and universities, her acceptance to MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and also her plans as freshman at MIT this fall.

Sanja had a really informative presentation about every aspect of the application process, she also shared valuable tips and insights how prospective internationals could prepare for SAT, TOEFL and other entrance exams that U.S. colleges and Universities require. She pointed out the honesty and enthusiasm were her main standpoints towards the whole application process and gave useful tips on the college essays writing as well as the importance of a passionate volunteering experience. 
Q & A followed at the end of the presentation that opened a great discussion.

Pre-departure orientation session for Jana & Marijana!

On August 8th the AC Bitola/American Educational Center Bitola organized a pre-departure orientation session for Marijana Miloshevska and Jana Gagacheva who are about to depart from Bitola and start their studies in the United States! The session was held by YES Alumni Marija Torkova and Ivana Gruevska. Numerous tips and a box of tools were given to Jana and Marijana to equip them for the outstanding experienc e that awaits for them in the U.S.

IEW SCHOOL VISITS As a part of International Education Week 2018, EducationUSA adviser Biljana K. Tasetovikj visited several Macedonian schools and colleges and spoke with more than 130 students about the opportunities of the U.S. higher education system. On November 13, she visited schools in south-west Macedonia, high schools "Niko Nestor" - Struga, "Yahya Kemal College" - Struga, Gymnasium "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Ohrid and the University of Information Science and Technology "St. Paul the Apostle" - Ohrid.
