CCC meetings in April.

In April were organised three meetings from the  EdUSA  CCC in the AC Bitola.  American Corner/Educational Center Bitola on the 1st of April announced the Certificates awarding ceremony for the members of the EducationUSA Competitive College Club Bitola for 2013.  During this session, the CCC Bitola students had the honor to meet Ms. Cheryl Francisconi, Regional Educational Advising Coordinator (REAC) for Southern Europe EducationUSA, U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, and share their success stories.             Members of the EdUSA CCC Bitola gathered for the 2nd time on the 15th of April to discuss their college search.The students had the opportunity to meet  Ms. Joseph G. Martin, a Peace Corps volunteer in Bitola but also a Harvard Business School graduate who talked briefly about the U.S. higher education. The members of Competitive College Club met at the  American Corner Bitola  on March 8th for another SAT preparation with  Marko Manevski , former member of CCC.    The participants this time had task to work more on the SAT practice tests and shared experiences with Marko about the SAT test. Marko also invited our former CCC member Marija Iloska, who also shared her SAT experience and her preparation for the test.  The members of the EducationUSA Competitive College Club Bitola gather at the American Corner Bitola on March 13th & 22nd for SAT preparation session with Marko Manevski, former member of CCC Bitola. Our participants worked together with Marko on more specific questions from the SAT practice books which are available in the American Corner.

In February the members from the Competitive College Club had numerous meetings. T he Competitive College Club had one more meeting scheduled in January, but due to some problems ipresenter’s schedule the meeting was rescheduled on February 1 st . During this meeting the members of the Competitive College club met Peace Corps Volunteer Erin Houlihan and talked more about the SAT testing process and its importance for the students. Everyone had numerous questions about the preparation process for the test. The members of the club were also introduced to another practice when being part of the CCC – the Book club activity. This time the participants had the task to read the book “The Last of the Mohicans” and to discuss about it together with PCV Houlihan.
