Second Book club in September!

On September 26th the Book club event took place at the AC Bitola. "The old man and the sea" was the book chosen for this Book club. Numerous questions, the plot of the book and the messages it delivers were discussed by the members of the EdUSA Competitive College Club Bitola during this event.

On September 21st the American Corner Bitola organized a presentation titled "My experience at Yale Young Global Scholar" with Teona Mango, YYGS Alumni.  Ms. Mango shared her experience from her two weeks stay as part of the program. Highlighting the variety of professional people she met, having been part of all the classes, she shared all good memories and experience. The Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) Program was founded as a small pre-collegiate summer program fourteen years ago under the name Ivy Scholars. YYGS has now expanded to accommodate 600 participants and currently runs three distinct sessions: Politics, Law, and Economics; International Affairs and Security; and Science, Policy, and Innovation.

Book Club - "The Hunger Games"

On September 9th 2015 the American Corner Bitola / American Educational Center Bitola organized another Book Club for the members of the EducationUSA Competitve College Club Bitola. The book chosen for the event was one of millennials most popular book - "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins.  The discussion led by Mr. Ted Shibata, local Peace Corps Volunteer, was in a for of a guessing game/multiple chose answer game.  With this type of activity the students were more engaged than ever! This was so fun for them having to go through simulations of the books plot and having to do different strategies. FULL ALBUM
