On September 10th, the members of the EducationUSA Competitive College Club Bitola met up at the Corner for Book Club. The Book chosen for this monthly meeting was "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum" for which the discussion was led by Peace Corps Volunteer  Ted Shibata . The story follows Dorothy set out to see the wizard at his palace in the Emerald City, following a road made of yellow bricks,. Along the way, she encounters the Scarecrow, Tin Woodsman and Cowardly Lion, each with his own wish that he wants granted by the great Oz.  This book is great for discussion and sharing ideas, because it has deeper meaning in the text with the fairyland scenery and the variety of characters.

The members of the EducationUSA Competitive College Club Bitola on September 9th held their weekly meeting led by Ms. Biljana Kuzmanovska, EducationUSA Adviser and ACB Coordinator. On the meeting the students were focused on working on their college application essays and learning basic tips that can help them write exceptional ones. The college essay is their opportunity to reveal their best qualities and to show an admission committee what makes them stand out from other applicants. Nearly all colleges rate application essays as either important or very important in their admissions process. A poorly executed essay can cause a stellar student to get rejected. On the flip side, exceptional application essays can help students with marginal scores get into the schools of their dreams.
