Advising session about Opportunity Funds Program

On August 7th 2015 the American Corner Bitola held two EducationUSA Competitive College Club Bitola Meetings led by Ms. Biljana Kuzmanovska, AC Bitola Coordinator and EducationUSA Adviser.
The meeting was dedicated on completing the application for the Opportunity Funds Program available for Macedonian CCC students in 2015. The students talked about the important documents for submission, the budget and also worked on the essays needed for completing the application. The EducationUSA Opportunity Funds program assists highly qualified students who are likely to be awarded full financial aid from U.S. colleges and universities but lack the financial resources to cover the up-front costs of obtaining admission, such as testing, application fees, or airfare. Each Opportunity Funds student undergoes a selective process of evaluation by an EducationUSA adviser, Regional Educational Advising Coordinator (REAC), and the Public Affairs Section of a U.S. Embassy/Consulate. In addition to academic abilities, Opportunity Funds students bring cultural and socio-economic diversity to U.S. campuses. More than 100 colleges and universities have enrolled Opportunity Funds students since 2006.
