U.S Embassy Educational Exchange Opportunities

On May 7th 2015 Mr. Gazmend Ilazi, Educational Officer, U.S. Embassy Macedonia, spoke at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies - Bitola and the American Corner Bitola about the current Education Exchange opportunities for Macedonian Citizens through the United States Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The Fulbright Scholar Program and The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program are currently open for candidates who want to apply for fully funded professional development. The Fulbright Program awards approximately 8,000 grants annually. Roughly 1,600 U.S. students, 4,000 foreign students, 1,200 U.S. scholars, and 900 visiting scholars receive awards, in addition to several hundred teachers and professionals. Approximately 310,000 "Fulbrighters" have participated in the Program since its inception in 1946. The Humphrey Program brings young and mid-career professionals from designated countries to the United States for a year of non-degree graduate-level study, leadership development, and professional collaboration with U.S. counterparts.
On these two presentations, Mr. Ilazi went step by step on how to fill in the application and explained all the necessary details about the additional documents one candidate needs to have for a good application. Q & A followed at the end of these presentations.
