“Tips for Success in School and Business” presentation

On May 29th 2015 the American Corner Bitola organized a presentation titled “Tips for Success in School and Business” with Ms. Kaitlin Turck, Assistant Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Macedonia.

On the event Ms. Turk talked more on how people make mistakes in the work place that maybe are setting them back in the progress of their careers. Giving examples of general situations both for school and work, she shared tips on what to avoid. She focused on the mistakes people are making while talking either socially or professionally, how they behave in certain work situations, how they tend to give out wrong information with their body posture or body language, and how people should brand themselves or to be more specific how people should introduce themselves and talk about themselves.
The attendees enjoyed the presentation after which a discussion followed.

Pre-departure orientation session for Jana & Marijana!

On August 8th the AC Bitola/American Educational Center Bitola organized a pre-departure orientation session for Marijana Miloshevska and Jana Gagacheva who are about to depart from Bitola and start their studies in the United States! The session was held by YES Alumni Marija Torkova and Ivana Gruevska. Numerous tips and a box of tools were given to Jana and Marijana to equip them for the outstanding experienc e that awaits for them in the U.S.

IEW SCHOOL VISITS As a part of International Education Week 2018, EducationUSA adviser Biljana K. Tasetovikj visited several Macedonian schools and colleges and spoke with more than 130 students about the opportunities of the U.S. higher education system. On November 13, she visited schools in south-west Macedonia, high schools "Niko Nestor" - Struga, "Yahya Kemal College" - Struga, Gymnasium "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Ohrid and the University of Information Science and Technology "St. Paul the Apostle" - Ohrid.
