On February 18th, American Corner Bitola organized a presentation for the new members of the 2015 EducationUSA Competitive College Club Bitola. The presentation introduced the CCC requirements and components including general preparations on SAT and TOEFL iBT.

The EducationUSA CCC Bitola assists the best and the brightest students to have an improved chance at admissions to a U.S. college or university. The EducationUSA CCC Bitola is open to all students in Bitola and the region of any nationality, ethnicity, and economic background. Appreciation of diversity is a fundamental value at U.S. higher education institutions, and integration starts at home.

Ms. Teona Mango and Ms. Ivana Gruevska, 2014 EducationUSA CCC Bitola scholars, shared with the participants their personal experience from CCC Bitola and gave some really useful tips on the SAT test. Ms. Cindy Sorensen, Peace Corps Volunteer in Bitola joined the discussion with giving few notes on the educational system in the States and made comparison with the higher education in Macedonia. 
Also as a part of the presentation Ms. Ivana Angelkovska, AC Bitola Staff shared some basic information about the most widely respected English-language proficiency test TOEFL iBT.

Pre-departure orientation session for Jana & Marijana!

On August 8th the AC Bitola/American Educational Center Bitola organized a pre-departure orientation session for Marijana Miloshevska and Jana Gagacheva who are about to depart from Bitola and start their studies in the United States! The session was held by YES Alumni Marija Torkova and Ivana Gruevska. Numerous tips and a box of tools were given to Jana and Marijana to equip them for the outstanding experienc e that awaits for them in the U.S.

IEW SCHOOL VISITS As a part of International Education Week 2018, EducationUSA adviser Biljana K. Tasetovikj visited several Macedonian schools and colleges and spoke with more than 130 students about the opportunities of the U.S. higher education system. On November 13, she visited schools in south-west Macedonia, high schools "Niko Nestor" - Struga, "Yahya Kemal College" - Struga, Gymnasium "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Ohrid and the University of Information Science and Technology "St. Paul the Apostle" - Ohrid. The students had the chance to learn about opportunities to obtain undergraduate and graduate education in the USA as well as the benefits of becoming a member of the American Corner in Struga.
