2014 Summer Camp - Day 2

On day two the campers started the day with morning workouts led by the ROTC Cadets. Later on, the day followed with workshops on Team Entrepreneurship /Crowd Funding , Education in the States, Volunteerism and fun activities on the beach. Day 2 ended with Movie Night and popcorn!

On April 7th 2016 the American Corner Bitola organized a Coffee with a Diplomat event on the topic “The Basics of U.S. Higher Education" with Ms. Trishita Maula, Second Secretary in the United States Foreign Service. Ms. Maula has previously served in U.S. Embassy Dhaka and the Permanent Mission of the United States to the United Nations in Geneva. She holds a degree in Economics and Mathematics from Barnard College, Columbia University and is a native of New York City. Higher Education in the U.S. is based on a core liberal arts and sciences curriculum that features a broad of humanities courses - art, science, music, history, philosophy, literature- along with in-depth focus on one particular discipline. Ms. Maula talked with the attending students on degree types, life on campus, types of schools, selection of majors, volunteering, application process and much more giving through her personal experience.  The students at the end had a lot of interesting questions...

"U.S. Universities Application Experience" with Marijana and Jana

Two members of the EdUSA Competitive College Club Bitola were admitted to study in the U.S. in the school year 2015/2016. On 19th June, both Marijana Miloshevska and Jana Gagacheva, held a presentation at the AC Bitola about their experience during the whole process of applying to college. Marijana Miloshevska, freshman at Rochester Institute of Technology and Jana Gagaceva, freshman at University of California – Davis talked to the current CCC members about their work on the university applications, and the preparations for the admission exams, such as the SAT, and TOEFL. Marijana and Jana also gave tips about the school research and the process of finding the right school match.

Pre-departure orientation session for Jana & Marijana!

On August 8th the AC Bitola/American Educational Center Bitola organized a pre-departure orientation session for Marijana Miloshevska and Jana Gagacheva who are about to depart from Bitola and start their studies in the United States! The session was held by YES Alumni Marija Torkova and Ivana Gruevska. Numerous tips and a box of tools were given to Jana and Marijana to equip them for the outstanding experienc e that awaits for them in the U.S.
