August meetings are ON! :)

On August 19th the members of the EducationUSA Competitive College Club Bitola had one of their regular meetings. On the meeting the students led by Mr. Marko Manevski, student at Union College, NY and Ms. Biljana Kuzmanovska, ACBitola Coordinator and EducationUSA Adviser, worked more on the Common Application. The Common Application (informally known as the Common App) is an undergraduate college admission application that applicants may use to apply to any of 517 member colleges and universities
Going step-by-step inside the application the students learned how to fill in the application which is one of the most important documents for applying at U.S. University. Everyone had unique questions or challenges for Mr. Manevski depending on their personal application.
The EducationUSA Competitive College Club Bitola will continue with its meeting during September.

Pre-departure orientation session for Jana & Marijana!

On August 8th the AC Bitola/American Educational Center Bitola organized a pre-departure orientation session for Marijana Miloshevska and Jana Gagacheva who are about to depart from Bitola and start their studies in the United States! The session was held by YES Alumni Marija Torkova and Ivana Gruevska. Numerous tips and a box of tools were given to Jana and Marijana to equip them for the outstanding experienc e that awaits for them in the U.S.

IEW SCHOOL VISITS As a part of International Education Week 2018, EducationUSA adviser Biljana K. Tasetovikj visited several Macedonian schools and colleges and spoke with more than 130 students about the opportunities of the U.S. higher education system. On November 13, she visited schools in south-west Macedonia, high schools "Niko Nestor" - Struga, "Yahya Kemal College" - Struga, Gymnasium "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Ohrid and the University of Information Science and Technology "St. Paul the Apostle" - Ohrid. The students had the chance to learn about opportunities to obtain undergraduate and graduate education in the USA as well as the benefits of becoming a member of the American Corner in Struga.
