Meetings... meetings :)

On August 25th 2015 the American Corner Bitola/American Educational Center Bitola held one of its monthly EducationUSA Competitive College Club Bitola Meetings. 

Ms. Biljana Kuzmanovska, ACBitola Coordinator and EducationUSA Adviser led the meeting with the students who are actively working on their college applications. On this meeting the students were focusing more on their CVs and other issues concern with their application. 

An effective college admission resume is an easily scanned summary of what the student has achieved during high school. College admissions resume highlights accomplishments during high school and can be a tremendous asset when filling out applications.

IEW SCHOOL VISITS As a part of International Education Week 2018, EducationUSA adviser Biljana K. Tasetovikj visited several Macedonian schools and colleges and spoke with more than 130 students about the opportunities of the U.S. higher education system. On November 13, she visited schools in south-west Macedonia, high schools "Niko Nestor" - Struga, "Yahya Kemal College" - Struga, Gymnasium "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Ohrid and the University of Information Science and Technology "St. Paul the Apostle" - Ohrid. The students had the chance to learn about opportunities to obtain undergraduate and graduate education in the USA as well as the benefits of becoming a member of the American Corner in Struga. The Basics of U.S. Higher Education w/ Ms. Trishita Maula

On April 7th 2016 the American Corner Bitola organized a Coffee with a Diplomat event on the topic “The Basics of U.S. Higher Education" with Ms. Trishita Maula, Second Secretary in the United States Foreign Service. Ms. Maula has previously served in U.S. Embassy Dhaka and the Permanent Mission of the United States to the United Nations in Geneva. She holds a degree in Economics and Mathematics from Barnard College, Columbia University and is a native of New York City. Higher Education in the U.S. is based on a core liberal arts and sciences curriculum that features a broad of humanities courses - art, science, music, history, philosophy, literature- along with in-depth focus on one particular discipline.
