SAT Test Prep Sessions in June

The members of the EducationUSA Competitive College Club in Bitola attended 3 SAT preparation session in June organized and led by Marko Manevski, former CCC Bitola student who successfully enrolled at Union College, NY this year. 

Students begin almost every session by taking a diagnostic test. Over the course of these test preparation sessions, Marko exposes the CCC students to the material they will encounter on the SAT and they together develop disciplined strategies for approaching each section. He emphasizes learning the material thoroughly and thinking critically about every question. These weekly meetings, assignments, and practice tests help students develop a deeper understanding of concepts and refine their problem-solving techniques.

IEW SCHOOL VISITS As a part of International Education Week 2018, EducationUSA adviser Biljana K. Tasetovikj visited several Macedonian schools and colleges and spoke with more than 130 students about the opportunities of the U.S. higher education system. On November 13, she visited schools in south-west Macedonia, high schools "Niko Nestor" - Struga, "Yahya Kemal College" - Struga, Gymnasium "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Ohrid and the University of Information Science and Technology "St. Paul the Apostle" - Ohrid. The Basics of U.S. Higher Education w/ Ms. Trishita Maula

On April 7th 2016 the American Corner Bitola organized a Coffee with a Diplomat event on the topic “The Basics of U.S. Higher Education" with Ms. Trishita Maula, Second Secretary in the United States Foreign Service. Ms. Maula has previously served in U.S. Embassy Dhaka and the Permanent Mission of the United States to the United Nations in Geneva. She holds a degree in Economics and Mathematics from Barnard College, Columbia University and is a native of New York City. Higher Education in the U.S. is based on a core liberal arts and sciences curriculum that features a broad of humanities courses - art, science, music, history, philosophy, literature- along with in-depth focus on one particular discipline.
